The rooms are clean and well maintained. They helped me find a motorbike to hire with ease. I looked forward to having their nasi goreng and ginger tea for breakfast. I found the area to be quiet (you might hear the occasional karaoke but it didn't last all night and some dogs/roosters in the distance at morning - although I didn't mind).

Very nice and hospitable owner and his family makes your stay like home big garden breakfast was great and big with lot of fresh fruits. Sangrila can arrange the boattrip to 17 islands for a reasonable price and arranges also transport to your next destination close to restaurants and oposite a supermarket was an outstanding nice time at this guesthouse. terimah kasih

Well everything actually! We liked it soo much we visited twice in a few days. The location is just amazing. A little bit away from the main road (not a very good road though) and therefore very quiet. The place is surrounded by beautiful forests full of birds. The lodges are simple but exactly enough. Be aware there’s no electricity and wifi, so make sure to charge your devices. The food is simply astonishing. Locally grown, made on woodfire and served with love. We ordered the vegan option, which was very reasonably priced. The staff working there is very kind and hospitable. If you look for accommodation close to Labuan Bajo or on your way to the east, definitely stay here!

Everything was made so easy by Jeff who picked us up from the bus, and organised onward travel. He welcomed us formally, talked to us about his culture and traditions and dinner with the others who were staying was really fun. The morning walk guided by Jeff through the river fields was beautiful too. 10/10 if you are interested in learning about Manggarai people and having a truly welcoming experience.

The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious, complete with a welcome drink and a delightful breakfast. The coffee was exceptional—the best I've ever tasted, likely made from special beans. We intended to book another stay after our boat trip, but it was fully booked.

Easily one of the most rich experiences we have had on our travels. We enjoyed spending time with jecky’s family, eating delicious home cooked meals, seeing Komodos (of which there are many behind the village), trekking in the national park, swimming with mantas, hiking Padar…the list goes on! Even just sitting on the balcony and watching the fishing boats or the resident dugong play with a sea turtle is a great way to pass the time. Jecky is a great host and has great English. You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.

He also called me weeks before our arrival and sent all the pricing sharing his advice and suggestions. We saw many Komodo Dragons, fish, mantas and had great times every day. It was very hard to leave.We enjoyed the stay very much and will be back very soon!!!
