I had an amazing time staying in Porto Santo Destination hostel! It was so calm and quiet, perfect space to wind down and especially during low season you get the ultimate perk of having basically no people at the beaches ;) Sofia the host was super friendly and helpful... couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Nice kitchen and facilities! Just keep in mind that you have to do groceries etc in the centre, as there's only a small restaurant around (which is cheap and good though). And it's a different island than Madeira itself, not everyone may know this ;)

Located in Funchal and with Marina do Funchal reachable within 2 km, FX Pena provides a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Nice owner, clean shared bathrooms, fully equipped shared kitchen, 10 minutes walk to the centre. Good price. We were quite happy!

Located within a traditional and historical building in Funchal old town, Santa Maria Hostel is a boutique hostel featuring a vintage-style décor. Santa Maria Hostel is located in the heart of Funchal, and its old charming neighborhood that is full of bars, restaurants and shops. The rooms are really comfortable, nice and have nice touches, as well as the whole hostel. The staff was amazing, they helped us a lot, recommended great car-rentals and were very nice and warm people.

Set in Prazeres, 25 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, Casa De Cha Prazeres offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Felix (the owner) gave us warm welcome, the room was clean, with comfy bed and newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast was great and served by the owner himself - he has a true passion for what he does and is very good in it. Felix also gave us great tip for a restaurant 4 minutes away, where we had amazing meal (great variety of vegan/veggie dishes as well as local fish). We hope to stay there again, once we return to Madeira.

Siisti, rauhallinen ja tyylikäs hostelli, hyvät sängyt ja tyynyt, ilmalämpöpumppu huoneessa. Erinomainen aamiainen hostellin alakerran kahvilasta saatavissa 15 €/päivä lisähintaan. Hostellin kahvila ja sen yhteydessä oleva pieni pop up kauppa olivat muutenkin ihanat.

Talo ja huone vanhoja ja aistikkaasti sisustettuja. Huone ei nyt maaliskuussa ollut liian kuuma, mistä on valituksia ollut. Huoneessa oli tuuletin.
